Dr. Donald Snyder is a Lecturer in the Media and Communication Studies Department. He earned his Ph.D. in American Studies from University of Maryland in 2009.
In addition to the core MCS courses, Dr. Snyder developed and teaches Social Media: Networking and Mobility.
He has been a campus leader in pedagogical innovates related to the Digital Humanities. In addition to presenting on the topic both locally, and nationally, he helped develop a faculty learning community dedicated to examining 21st Century Literacies through the development and implementation of digital assignments. He serves on the Faculty Senate, The First Year Book Experience Committee, the Digital Humanities Working Group, and is on the board of the Orser Center for the Study of Place, Community, and Culture.
