Documenting a 'Rising' China:

Ms. LI Haipei is an independent documentary director with 14 years of experience. Having studied mass communication and audio-visual art in China and France, Li worked at CCTV (China Central Television) and BOCOG (Beijing Organizing Committee of Olympic Games). Prior to founding her own media production company, Li had interviewed Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nicole Kidman, Yoko Ono, I.M.Pei, Yundi Li, Placido Domigo, among others. At UMBC, Li will be sharing parts of her documentary, Probing Happiness on the Borders of China, as well as her newest work on unwed mothers in Beijing.
